If you compare zelda u to splatoon, then maybe. But as a franchise, zelda is much larger. In order for the splatoon franchise to beat the zelda franchise, it has to be able to collectively beat wind waker hd/hyrule warriors/zelda u/twilight princess/triforce heroes. I was referring to the peak sales for upcoming games, not multiple games combined.

if you're refering to zelda u, then yeah. Zelda games have never sold crazy amounts and I don't expect that to change with zelda u. Splatoon had an great amount of marketing and has the benefit of being an online multiplayer game (word of mouth is better when you're friends play together)
