At this point, Splatoon has even more chances of growing as the next big franchise for Nintendo. If Splatoon 2 becomes something similar to Smash Bros. Melee, evolving the gameplay and features, then it can bring in even more people in. Though I wonder how will they implement the controls since the gamepad was pretty well utilized in the original. The controls and feature from the pad made the gameplay intuitive and fun.
