Video Games have always been digital (as opposed to music where tape and cassette were Analog.) It's only the format that has changed, from cartridge, to disk, to a different kind of disk, to download.
Sure there are a few records, but most all music and movies is all digital now. Games are doing the same. It was 50/50 this year for consoles over the Black Friday weekend (in the states). I see 2015 as the last year that physical lead. It's already lost PC, now consoles will be mostly digital.
It's like someone saying I need to OWN a book, rather than going to the library.
