I can agree with that.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reason/con for PS3:
- system is cheap used, slightly expensive for new
- roughly ~2000 games released worldwide (not restricted by region lock)
- PS1 back catalog (PS2 also if you have the early models of ps3) (lots of classics and gems)
- Online is free (moot point, may not have much user playing a specific online game anymore)
- Bluray player
- I would say majority of the games are single player.
Reason/con for Xbox360:
- region locked, so game library are around ~750 if US, and >500 if you are in Asia. (xbox is not popular there)
- some xbox backward compatiblity
- Online is not free
- More user online for multiplayer games compare to PS3. (Majority of the people i know, rather COD it out on the xbox then ps3)
Reason/con for PC:
- Cost more then console to run 1080i @30fps by ~200USD. Cost a newborn every other year if you chasing the newest thing. (4k, 100fps, ect)
- good & old old games to play are few and rarely worth the reply. (Half:life, Age of Empire 3, Diablo, Starcraft, ect) not work the reply imo, because there are more new and current sequal/prequals of those games.
- Cheap new/current games from HumbleBundle and Steam Sales.
- Best Online hands down. Just look at amount of player still playing Counter-Strike 1.6. (If you play a 3+ year online game on console...good luck on find more then a handful of people online.)
- Way more functions and integration of everyday life. School, work, cat pics, posting cat pics, ect.
- Promotes health when you have a box of tissue and some lotions.

For my situation, I enjoy having a DS or PSP now. Portablity and with limited play time, its great to have a handhleld with an extensive catalog of games.
