I'm more offended when sites tries to curb comments or discussions so that only the point of view they wish to push is represented. Stuff like that offends me far more than some random person trolling comments sections for attention or making crude or racist jokes.

That last part catches you out though, I mean in the way you choose to be offended and then tell others not to is you trying to get your side represended mroe in telling others what to do or sort their lives out.

Really it just reminds me of this:

I'm not telling anyone what to do, if someone gets "triggered" by every little thing they see on the internet that's their problem, not mine.  And you're preaching to the choir with that quote.  It better suits the perpetually offended whiners out there who try to shut down any speech or opinions they disagree with in the name of "equality", "social justice" and other such bs.

As for "choosing" what to be offended by, what affects you as a person more... a random comment on a website, or someone actively infringing on your 1st amendment rights (if you live in the US of course) because you don't hold the same views they do?
