Nintendo wouldn't be in this mess if I was in charge, but I'm not exactly patting myself on the back, anyone with a lick of common sense probably could've avoided some of the pitfalls they've fallen into the last few years.

Dude stop, there is a reason you are posting in a video game forum and not the head of a multi million corporation.

He's right though.
Nintendo's decision making over the last five years has been so utterly terrible that your average forum going gamer probably could have done a better job. For one thing, we're not as completely out of touch with today's gaming market as Nintendo seems to be.

Pretty much this
Nintendo seems to enjoy living in the past and ignoring new tech, It's kinda sad. I've always supported them until this giant mess called Wii U, so I moved on to my first PlayStation ever and I couldn't be happier

They've never had to acknowledge new tech because their same old approach has given them consistent billion dollar profits until this gen. We can only hope that the revelation that their old methods of lateral thinking and purposefully ignoring industry standards because they didn't innovate them won't work anymore.
