It does depend, that I do know but it's also dependant on whether or not one is willing to accept critism, some can and some can't, some can accept it right fof the bat and others can counter it at every turn. The case I was talking about was related to something else but I do know that I cannot make a thread talking directly about the site in any sort of non positive light let alone the community, the Escapist, Destuctoid and PCGamer also enforce this view as well from what I've seen along with counter critism from mods on those sites (very few nod and agree from my recollection with most outcomes being coutner critism or "that's not true" counters), but I digress.

 

Oh well, either way I can't really agree with you that "it's been made very strict and common theme with this site that you cannot talk about it or the community in any sort of negative light unless you're away from certain prying eyes and ears (ie: talking of the site off the site)."

So we're gonna have to agree to disagree on that one, but that's sorta par for the course for us anyway
