I get what you mean about it not being a "significant" power boost, but a power boost would be a power boost nonetheless. For example, the New Nintendo 3DS did not receive a significant power boost, but it can obviously play games more smoothly, and has a few games in development that require that processing power and cannot work with the 3DS or 3DS XL. So it's not about significant power boosts, it's about being able to add that other thing that you wouldn't have been able to add if that extra power wasn't there. It's about further enhancement and extra touches to games that may not be possible without the handheld's extra processing. I think the streaming thing will just be a standard feature as well, but the tether is the thing that will make it unique.

The N3DS received an extremely significant power boost. It has two times the ram and nearly two times the VRAM. The boost the NX would get from a handheld wouldn't be a fraction of that kind of power boost. It would literally be a complete waste of time, money, and recourses as it would have absolutely no impactful benefit on any game.

You don't seem to even understand what you're even saying. It's like saying that tethering the iphone to a PS4 would give its games "further enhancements and extra touches" equivalent to the difference between the 3DS and N3DS, which literally doubled in power in some areas. That's absolutely absurd.
