The thing about the colors is weird. Keyboards have more buttons than a controller will ever have, so it's weird that he said that the NX will have more colors thanks to the controls.

As for the tether thing for extra power, that literally makes no sense. The handheld won't have enough power to give the console a significant power boost, and boosting the handhelds power with the console is worthless when, by that point, you could just play the console the handheld is physically tethered to anyway.

If anything, they'd just stream the console to the handheld using the streaming technology they championed with the Wii U gamepad instead, so you can experience more power on your handheld without loosing portability.

I get what you mean about it not being a "significant" power boost, but a power boost would be a power boost nonetheless. For example, the New Nintendo 3DS did not receive a significant power boost, but it can obviously play games more smoothly, and has a few games in development that require that processing power and cannot work with the 3DS or 3DS XL. So it's not about significant power boosts, it's about being able to add that other thing that you wouldn't have been able to add if that extra power wasn't there. It's about further enhancement and extra touches to games that may not be possible without the handheld's extra processing. I think the streaming thing will just be a standard feature as well, but the tether is the thing that will make it unique.
