And you might be the only person on the planet who thinks we've continuously improved our environment. |
Well yeah, that's what we've constantly done throughout history (an example being camp fires, which are toxic to us, but had greater benefit as it kept wild animals clear and helped cook food so there is less disease ridden food being eaten). And no 2012 was woeful, but I've yet to enjoy a disaster film such as that. And no I'm really not, our environment is the environment in which we live in, how on earth has that not improved for us, and if it wasn't, why are countries like India, and China, and Indonesia and so on desperately trying to recreated what happened in Europe and America? It's because our environment is significantly better and has helped add 40+ years to life expectancy with general health improving and environment related death decreasing dramatically (drought related deaths in the US and Europe are effectively nonexistant now, for example).

Oh sure. But that's like saying we've got the cold (rhinovirus) under control because we now have Nyquil. Can we endure the problems better? Yes. Are the actual problems better? No. The big issue though is we aren't just making better Nyquil (personal living environments) but making the cold symptoms much worse (climate change). |
Yeah but there's problems with the environment towards us at every temperature level, and historically we've proven to be much much more acquiped at surviving warmer conditions than colder conditions. I'm still failing to see how 'climate change' and AGW are making the symptoms worse. I've already shown how extreme weather events aren't increasing, and I've yet to see how the environment is becoming more hostile towards us, the warmer more CO2 rich environment lets us grow more food than ever before, it's becoming easier to live on the planet than ever before, even regardless of our technology that would improve our wellbeing anyway.
