Since when is buying a console like playing the lottery? If it was some knockoff that I picked up from the internet then I would be gambling. A 10 dollar movie is a gamble. 330 dollars on a system from a reputable company is not a gamble.

are there any gaurantees that whatever system you buy will get support? No there are not promises. Wii U could have gotten dropped in its 2nd year. A lot of consoles got little support. That is a fact, so yes it is a gamble. If not then everybody who bought one would be satisifed and since they are clearly not...

No you shouldnt, thats my point but i suspect most of them will anyway and the cycle witll continue.
