Well, with all due respect, you didn't have any logical reasoning behind it. Anyone can make a 50/50 guess.

The only reasonings you added were:
1.) "When has a $300 console ever been replaced? Never!"
2.) "They are still making money off of WiiU".
the wii u getting new games isnt an argument concerning whether or not it will come out this year. i understand that it can still get some nice support but still get replaced. what im actually attacking is the argument that people make about the wii u not getting any new games for this year or next year. i know i didnt make that clear in the post youre responding to, but i did make it clear in that thread that i made that youre referencing and shit.
Regarding the first, Neo Geo was still priced at US$649.99
youre comparing a nintendo console to neo geo. that doesnt fuckin work one bit. neo geo didnt have a successor for the next generation.
(equivalent to more than US$1,000 in 2015 when adjusted for inflation) when it got replaced by Neo Geo CD. Hell, the original Neo Geo had games that retailed for $300.
The fact that Nintendo aren't able to drop the price lower in the console's fourth year is a bad sign when sales are this low. Not a good one that indicates more life from it.
comparing it to the neo geo doesnt give us any insight. you have to go WAY more in depth and shit before i can bother responding to any of this shit and stuff because im not about to make presumptions abotu wtf youre talking about especially because im fuckin hammered right now
Regarding the second, so was every other console that was ever profitable, even after they got replaced. PS3 for example is still maing Sony money. It's just not making them as much money any more as they could be making with a new console. Hence PS4 was released.
On the other hand, Nintendo haven't shown any dedication to making new quality titles for WiiU since mid 2014. That is a very long time. Among many other reasons, things are certainly pointing towards there being no more announcements of quality for the system.
So if this turns out to be true, it will be a positive surprise. But one new quality game announcement every 1,6 years isn't going to be enough.
