I think that those people like it because some aspects of gameplay were improved and they were willing to overlook other aspects of the game. Some of the rpg elements were removied in order to dumb it down for FPS gamers. Adding ammo so guns wouldn't overheat. *rolls eyes. Ability to customize your character with many different kinds of gear and weapons. Shopping in general and exploration of planets was axed. Traveling around in that hover vehicle gave me the impression that dollar general developed those parts of the game. It felt very cheaply made all around.

I certainly did hate the fact ammo was introduced, as well as a cut back in how open the game was. But I never heard people complaining about this.

I've heard of others complain about it too but I just don't hear it often. As I said, there's plenty think the trade off was worth it for the slightly better gameplay. Playstation gamers for example didn't get a chance to play the ME1 til the trilogy was released. ME1 is super buggy on the PS3. ME2 was on xbox 360 first and wasreleased a year later on the PS3. It had this comic book intro that explained what happened in ME1 and let you make the choices that transpired in the first game. Alot of people who played the series for the first time through playstation had a very bad experience with it or they didn't bother with it.

I played and beat ME1 on my friend's xbox 360, so my experience of it wasn't tarnished by a shoddy port of it.
