I'm sure it could've been better on Wii U. But Next Level Games decided to go with 3DS since they are familiar with the console.
I don't know what kind of positive thing will come out of just no supporting the game, to be honest. Tanabe, who was in charge of the Prime series, seemed to really want to do this game and create a broader universe. Sure it's not the first thing fans might've wanted, but I would like to see how a creator's vision would work out. Why not see what he has in store? They did say Samus will be in and there will be a single player mode so who knows what might entail.
