Everyone in the UK knows who/what Nintendo are even if they have no interest or havn't purchased a Wii U, The big problem I feel is that the Wii/U gen they have heavily missed out on the 18-24 demographic as the shooter genre became the most mainstream genre and one of the biggest "reasons" to own a console. I feel here Nintendo's fans are either in they late 20's and older or teens and younger. It also seems like the Wii/U have ended up getting a reputation as viewd as a console for kids and marketing from what I gather is on kids chanels and family tv shows. I've seen many adverts for Xbox during big sport games along with quite a few PS4 but never once seen a Nintendo advert. If they can put a good strong platform together I see no reason why fans of old and new would come flocking to it. Most of my friends I grew up with on the SNES, N64 and GC all just want a standard console with no motion controls or non-standard controllers and would get back onto Nintendo but until then they will not even consider buying one and I suspect there are many "waiting" for this to happen as well worldwide. |
Thanks for that info. I was hoping I could a POV from someone from the UK : D It's good to know that Ninten is still wel known and may have a chance to come back.
