Excited?

Cautiously hopeful?

Ambivalent?

Pessimistic?

Dismissive?

As a someone who's never played a single AC game to completion (and only ever played AC1). I don't really have any excitement for the movie itself and I'm always rather pessimistic about video game movies turning out to be much good, or doing well at the box office.

Ass Creed will obviously have a substantial budget and it has quality actors in the cast. But in some ways that just makes the financial break even point that much higher. Low budgets mean easier profits, which is why so many Resident Evil movies got made despite getting fairly low audience numbers and all of them getting meh to bad reviews.

I think Ass Creed with do a reasonable gross but not enough to break even. Hence while not being a total flop, it will be a financial failure and won't be the beginning of a new movie franchise. Best marketing they can do though is not associate it with being a video game. At the moment that association automatically puts non-gamers off.
