Same guy made Golden Ax as a succesor and I feel there is no reason to look back Altered Beast. Its like a beta.

It's got a great vibe/feel to it. The gothic setting and music etc. is pretty cool to this day so, I give it a play through on my Genesis every now and then.

I liked it too. It seems like Xxain is the only one here who doesn't.
