What you want to say by not buying the game: 'Give me a proper, full-on, console Metroid!!!!!!!'
What Nintendo probably thinks you're saying by not buying the game: 'I'm not interested in Metroid.'
I'm not advocating buying a game that is not up to standart, or just not fun, but if you're refusing to buy a perfectly fine game out of some misguided sense of boycott, you'll probably end up sending the wrong message.
