Is Nintendo just trying to fool only America in thinking they're a goody-goody company?

Japan in general always feel like they have to put on the kiddy gloves when dealing with us.  I'm not surprised since there's always some group of people that try to insert their politics or virtue signal using video games.  FIrst, it was the religious people, then the conservative right and now it's the progressive left.  Once the progressive left die down I'm sure some other group of people will take up their mantle of trying to ruin things for normal people.

When it comes to Japanese games I've only heard censorship from Nintendo though.

If you can find other Japanese games that aren't from Nintendo (and not on a Nintendo system) that does randomly odd censorship please let me know.  Just lately I keep hearing it coming from Nintendo and just can't help but wonder...

Off the top of my head; Xenosaga III, Resident Evil, Blade & Soul, Kingdom Hearts II,  Street Fighter V(though I don't know if that's just in the west or in general because of all the bitching),  Monster Monpiece (the only reason I remember that one was because Idea Factory had to issue a statement), small one in Skies of Arcadia but I see your point that Nintendo is responsible for probably the majority of examples of censorship in video games in the west.  Just another reason for me to dislike NOA and hope they do a complete overhaul on its staff and policies.
