How Likely Is Nintendo Funding Bayonetta 3?

why would you consider it unlikely? there' s no way Nintendo lost money on the deal and the reality is that the word of mouth from Bayonetta 2 (great reviews and a mature game!) certainly aided the Wii U 

  as someone else mentioned, if they are bothering to continue the Fatal Frame series then Bayonetta 3 seems like a very very obvious decision 

from what I understand Linear 'on the rail' action games like Bayonetta are not (relatively speaking) that expensive to produce anyway. its not like Nintendo would be investing in some giant open world or adventure risky game. They know what they'll get from it

I just don't see Nintendo, if the choice is up to them, walking away from basically the BEST reviewed game/series on their last home console

Also, to add. Nintendo would want to risk a second attempt. Because all low sales and issues with the second game. Could easily be blamed from the horrible position the Wii U is in. If NX does good. I'd attempt a 3rd game. To get concrete proof the series is a failure or not.
