Link and Toon Link fully replenish arrows, Zelda and Sheik completely restore hearts, and scanning Ganondorf means you’ll receive twice as much damage from enemies." Since we know hero mode has 2 times damage in it, it can be persumed by this that you must scan ganon to get it...Maybe you use ganon to get it early, I don't know for sure. But locking that mode behind amiibo is a shit move. Would have been added to this game whether we had amiibo or not. "Using the Wolf Link amiibo at a certain place will allow you to play “Thorough Battle: Trial of the Beast” (perhaps this is the Twilight Cave we heard about last week). If you clear this while owning the “Giant Wallet”, you’ll earn the “Bottomless Wallet”. This lets you hold up to 9,999 Rupees, compared to Giant Wallet’s maximum of 1,000. The leak also mentions something about how Link’s health inside normal dungeons can be recovered by the amount of hearts you preserved in the exclusive dungeon (which I assume is this one)."
"there’s talk about the Wolf Link amiibo having a record of journeys. Their numbers can be saved, and by only touching it (the amiibo?) you can continue the adventure. It doesn’t mean you can save into a different save data though. So… yeah. Confusing. We’ll take another look at this tomorrow!" not quite sure what this will be http://nintendoeverything.com/famitsu-sheds-light-on-zelda-twilight-princess-hds-amiibo-features/ |
If this is true, then the Wolf Link amiibo isn't as bad as I had initially thought it was going to be in terms of locked content. Reminds me more of how the Splatoon amiibos functioned in that they gave you access to content that didn't make you feel like you were missing out on anything substantial or important. I hope the Ganondorf one only gives you early access to the extra damage mode though.
