Yes, I agree that Nintendo definitely should make/publish more RPGs; they already have quite a few of them as it is, and has been discussed in this thread.
Regarding XCX, we need to remember that its a spiritual successor of a highly regarded game from the Wii, and it even shares most of its name with the previous game. I think that helped a lot.
