The game isn't anywhere near complete yet with it;s initial final release being this summer which is still up to 5 months away. For the PC part I heard MS boasting of DX 12 coming to save the day but only for Windows 10 users so I guess it's not going to run amazingly well or be fully polished either. I want to like the game, I really love the overall concept but the game as is just runs like crap on my setup with a 980, at least with an early access game like Starbound, besiege or at the time Planetary Annihilation, I could run those pretty well despite them being in ea but with ARK It just seems like you can't find that sweet spot.
It definitely doesn't help that each update I keep getting is worth a near gig or two and that usually ends up being some new dino or mammal that I'll never get to see or train or more things thrown into the game than trying to really buckle down and optimize the hell of the game. I feel that they are going to spend at least a month, maybe two tops on sorting out the game's performance when they should have been nailing it from the start while slowly adding new items/creatures into the game than just dumping a load of assets into the game.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
