If this thing struggle's to perform well on a 980, god knows what the XB1 faces. Oh wait, we do know now! Thanks to the mighty power of digital foundry!

Now this game is clearly not polished. It runs at 1088x612-1088x624 (thats the estimated pixel count). And the FPS is another disaster, running at sub 20FPS for the majority of the experience. This game also presents massive amounts of screen tear. This game does have another 5-6 months to be finished in developement, but currently it is extremely unfinished, and nowhere near ready for release.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Funny, i got attacked on an article on N4G for saying it looked sub 720p. Looks like i was right.

But yet gamers would still buy it, the majority of games hit sub 20 FPS. Won't stop because the public always accept it, 60 FPS will never become the standard on consoles.

surprise, an early access game isnt finished and still has technical issue!

to truly judge the game we should wait until the final release.

The time its at 13 fps.. okay thats not fantastic... but what kills it is those stutter spikes when its like loading textures? and it goes sub 4 fps for abit as it lags along.

Game isnt playable in this state imo.

Graphics are sub 720p... and not looking that great.

The game isn't anywhere near complete yet with it;s initial final release being this summer which is still up to 5 months away. For the PC part I heard MS boasting of DX 12 coming to save the day but only for Windows 10 users so I guess it's not going to run amazingly well or be fully polished either. I want to like the game, I really love the overall concept but the game as is just runs like crap on my setup with a 980, at least with an early access game like Starbound, besiege or at the time Planetary Annihilation, I could run those pretty well despite them being in ea but with ARK It just seems like you can't find that sweet spot.

It definitely doesn't help that each update I keep getting is worth a near gig or two and that usually ends up being some new dino or mammal that I'll never get to see or train or more things thrown into the game than trying to really buckle down and optimize the hell of the game. I feel that they are going to spend at least a month, maybe two tops on sorting out the game's performance when they should have been nailing it from the start while slowly adding new items/creatures into the game than just dumping a load of assets into the game.
