Why would you find this strange? i find nothing strange with a company that wants to expend their IP to other platforms when the is clearly a pretty good strong market there for them.

I didn't say it was strange, I said it was interesting. They are teams of translators and marketers deciding they want to port over a game. That's not how things usually work. These ports aren't released in Japan.
