I think you meant it's exceptionally LIKELY that those franchises will see a new game in the next two years. You're also incredibly wrong if you think nintendo will/should port games already availabble on the system (assuming NX is a home console).

You see new installments of those franchises releasing for the NX in the next two years? I think Mario Kart has a chance and maybe splatoon, but Zelda/smash bros/star fox seem far off given the development time required. Their resources are stretched pretty thin as it is, and I'm hoping the sparse wii u lineup ahead of us indicates they're doing all they can to get games ready for the NX launch,

I'm also curious why porting Wii U games to the NX to bolster their early launch lineup would be "incredibly wrong". If the only people they reach with the NX are those of us that own a Wii U then this is a failed console already. It must also feature new architecture to have any chance of success, meaning backwards compatibility would add substantially to the cost and likely will not be included. I don't recall many ps4 owners complaining when the last of us was ported to the system for them.

3d mario had enough dev time to be a launch title. Spla2n and mario kart can and probably will release in 2017. smash could be late 2017 or early 2018. That's plenty of games for the first year and a half.

Check the X1 backwards compatibility, no need to include extra hardware even when it's a different architeture than the predecessor.
