If we look at the games that run at native 1080p on Wii U, (Smash Bros, Wind Waker HD, Rayman Legends, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate) none of them are as graphically demanding as Zelda U looks to be. Running graphics like this:

in 1080p is beyond Wii U's capabilities, I reckon.

I expect 720/30fps, in line with Xenoblade Chronicles X.

 

You're probably right Curl. I just got this feeling that it'll be 1080p from some interviews and the fact that Zelda team always pushes the systems. But it's more likely that it'll be 720p than 1080p indeed.
