The point is, most people who inhabit the internet think they're not rich, but when they look at their income or wealth position relative to the world they actually realise how close to the top they really are. And the fact that the vast majority of the world has to try to survive on much much less should be food for thought and get people to think about whether our current economic models really are the best thing for everyone. It certainly seems to have worked well for a very small number of people, but for the vast majority of people not so much. |
