Considering Wii U is on track to sell less than 1/5 the hardware & software of Wii, I would say a lot of people wanted a Wii but not a Wii U.

Fair enough, but more people bought Wii than PS4 and Xbone (in the same timespan). So motion controls killed off far too soon?
