i Also expect a drop in sales this year, they will have to fight agaist Playstation 4, without something big enought like Halo, and Xbox One, dont have Global appeal and he must be selling less than 1/5 of Playstation 4, sells in not-tracked regions, they announced that they sould over 1 Million of playstation 4, for the Arabic People, Xbox One, not even managed to do this in France, Germany, or any other european country out-side United Kingdom.
Here are my predictions for Life-time sales.
i think that VG Chartz, is overtracking Xbox One, because if it was so close to 20 Millions Microsoft, would shout it out.
With Playstation VR, and major exclusives the Playstation 4, will sell much more than Xbox One, and much more than just 2:1, what are the major releases of the year ?, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy XV, Far cry Primal, Doom, Hitman, The Division, No Man's Sky (i think that will be a major VR Tittle), from those games only Doom, and The Division, have some chance of selling on Xbox One, the last Far cry game, sold more than 2.5 times on Playstation 4, than Xbox One, and was 2014 when Playstation 4, did not had such lead over Xbox One, the last major Japanese release was Metal Gear Solid V, and it sold 600 thousands on Xbox One, and 3 millions on Playstation 4, so any Japanese game is a system seller for Playstation 4, because Xbox One, did not buy games with some plot, or japanese games, the Witcher 3, also sold 3x more on playstation 4, than xbox one, Xbox One, will only have Gears of War 4, that can be a system seller, i dont think that Quantum Break, will sell this much if the previous game floped on xbox 360, and i dont think that Crackdown 3, a game that the Multiplayer will came in 2016, and the Single Player, on 2017, i dont think that it will sell a lot.
Making it shortly, Playstation 4, will have much more advantage from third party titles because this year a majority of the titles will be japanese titles that aways sell more on Playstation, despite how much units Xbox One, have sold, japanese games never sell well on xbox. Nearly every single exclusive from Sony, will be a Huge system seller, Uncharted 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Dreams, Gran Turismo Esports, all of those game have the chance of selling Millions because Playstation 4, have a worldwide audience that like those type of games, and they will make something really good, they will release the exclusives throught the year, Microsoft, already is pushing everything for the last quarter, and i think that Xbox One, will have a Hard time agaist Playstation VR, a new competitor, and a very, very hard time if NX, come out this year, because Xbox One, only sells on the last quarter, if Xbox, lose the last quarter sales so it will not sell.
Predictions.
Wii U 15 Millions (if NX, came this year), or 17 Millions (if NX, came next year)
Xbox One, 30-35 Millions (i dont se Xbox One, selling on Xbox 360 levels, so i expect Xbox One, to sell less than Half)
Playstation 4, 130-150 Millions (in the Final of 2017, Playstation 4, already will be at Playstation 3's level of sales, or even surpassed it, i Expect 2018, or 2019, for be Playstation 4's peak year, because Naughty Dog, might release other game until there, and we will might see another GTA Game, that just like Gta Saandreas, it will sell much more on Playstation, so, my reasons are that Naughty Dog, might release another game like The Last of Us, and Rock Star, mighty release another GTA)
