This thread is for Asian sales outside of Japan. We don't really get much info from my region, and it's not a major market, but there's a site which some guy gives weekly reports on how new releases are selling in Hong Kong. I thought I'd start posting them here, along with my own reports from Bangkok. If anyone else in Asia would like to post similar reports that would be most welcome, especially from Singapore, Taiwan, or Korea.
I won't bother backdating the Hong Kong reports prior to this month, the site is here if anyone wants to check out the archive.

The great game for PSX3 and XB360 Grand Theft Auto IV GTA4 released for couple of days. They had been very hot selling. Especially for the XB360 version, it was sold out nearly everywhere in Hong Kong. The main reason is that some of the users stated that the PSX3 would hang up after playing for some time!!!! As I know, this problem can easily be solved by unplugging the lan cable from the PSX3 console!!!!
The Asian version of the GTA IV actually are 100% the same as European PAL version. For the XBOX 360 version, it works on all TVs. However, the PSX3 version not working on some NTSC TVs. It can only works on PAL TVs or NTSC TVs support either one of the following: HDMI: 720p,1080i,1080p D-Terminal: D3, D4, D5
It was "very hot selling" here in Bangkok too, and by mid afternoon on day one had sold out in some stores. The stores that still had it remaining had hiked the price.
I was surprised to see that the Asian GTA IV was the European version, with BBFC 18 certificate on the disc, along with PEGI and German USK badge. At first I thought it must be an import, which is strange as European imports are very rare, but it turns out that Take Two just supplied Europe and Asia with the same version. This isn't a problem in Bangkok as the TV standard is PAL.
