I chose Nintendo due to the quality of their last games and my love for Zelda. But there are many good games on Sony consoles as well and with Ori and the Blind Forest also a very good game for XBox One (played it on PC).

I played these systems:
Atari 2600 > SNES > PS1 > Dreamcast > PS2 > Wii U

I lost interest in gaming during PS360 era because of the focus on FPS and "realistic" games as well as the lack of creative/arcade games. Many of my PS2 games were from japanese studios, which developed motion control games for the Wii. And I don't like motion control.

My interest in gaming came back due to a good fried who had a Wii U with Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Heck, I haven't seen such polished games in a while. The same goes for Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon. They are perfect in any point of view. I'm really looking forward to Zelda U.

I will get a PS4 as soon as we get a release date for The Last Guardian. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) are my favourite games of all time. But I do like Nintendo as a company much more than Sony (although they did some strange things during the Wii era).
