Finally the UK market overtakes the Japan market in home console sales. Japan ended narrowly ahead last gen I think but this time it wont even be close.

It was always above Japan since last gen, but If the NX comes out Japan will overtake the UK i think. Even the PS4 is outpacing PS3 sales now there

NX? that would be next gen?  The PS4 outpacing the PS3 in Japan means little when the XboxONE is non existent and the WiiU is way lower than the Wii.

 

Comparing specific discrete gens this is the first time UK > Japan

 

Last gen it stands at 

Japan: 24.82m

UK: 23.83

 

 

wouldnt matter because its about what is today, we know the NX will pretty much replace Wii U sales
