It isnt the same, but I doubt you could trademark that either.

Its clearly the PG that is the part under consideration anyway.  Sony VR is called Sony VR.  PG is the addition.

Otherwise it would be Sony VRRPG wouldn't it?

 



If Marshawn Lynch can trademark "I'm just here so I don't get fined." I am fairly confident Sony will be able to trademark "VRPG" without any significant issues.  Will just mean other companies will have to license out the right to put that exact lettering on their boxes if they so choose for their things.
