Honestly I don't think the impact will be as big as others seem to think. Sure it would be sad but I think gaming has reached a point where Nintendo's exit wouldn't substantially impede the industry. Thats if we're talking consoles. If we're talking handhelds then the entire market would be fucked and Japan would go fullblown mobile.
