How did that work for them with Gamecube and N64?

If NX is some kind of fusion system, you can bet people will say that it only failed because it was a gimmick. Yet no one was calling the wiiu pad a gimmick when it was revelead. It became a gimmick when it stopped selling well.

All they need is reall third party support and a system with modern graphic capabilities.  From what I have heard, this wont be a problem.  

Ok, serious question. Who do you think will buy NX other than people who bought wiiu? Ps4 owners, xb1 owners or people who haven't bought any of the 3 consoles? The 3rd party support won't help all that much, because ps4 are happy playing 3rd pary games on their console, same with xb1 gamers. In other words, even if everything goes well, unless they come up with something that Sony and MS don't offer (last generation it was motion controls), they won't sell much more than 20m. Which could be enough for NInty to be profitable, but it still won't be able to compete with MS and Sony.
