That is unfair. You're asuming that everyone interested in emulation is a pirate. What if a game dissapeared from the market and you can't find it anywhere? What if your system broke and you don't want to buy another identical console? What if your physical copy of the game broke and you don't want or can't buy it again? What if you just preffer playing your old games on PC or other devices instead of the original hardware? I have a GBA and own every pokemon game made for the system, but that doesn't mean I don't want to play them on PC. What will happen with the modding scene and the romhack scene? That's a lot of potential creativity dampered by the fact they can't work on the consoles.
