Yeah, I suspect that's because there's more ps4 owners than xbox1 (I.e. More noise) and final fantasy has almost always been exclusive to Playstation since they left nintendo (FFXIII being the recent exception), so I doubt it surprised anyone as opposed to Tomb Raider going to Xbox, which everyone associates with the playstation brand. That said, it's still a shitty practice. I just don't see why they continue to do engage in this practice; what is really being gained?

 

Competitive edge is what is being gained. Microsoft is just doing it at the cost of the majority, but both are using timed exclusives to cover up the flaws of their first party AAA's. Sony's haven't been that great and neither have Microsofts thus far. It seems to be changing though as new IP's start to amass. 2016 might be a very surprising year. I have both consoles so I dont get screwed. I enjoy them both.
