My main hope is they go back to MK7's style of balance. The way they changed the item balance was certainly different I'll give em that much, but getting the stronger items the worse you're doing and being able to carry multiple items is just better, there was no need to try and fix that. Also the character/vehicle balance in 8 was just awful, lightweights could do little outside of 200cc, please to god fix that.
