No logic from the OP. You expect nintendo to be dictated on when to release their own consoles because of old systems? If previous gen installed base mattered, there would never be new gen. I said this in another thread and will say it again: what matters for a console's success are the price, games, marketing... the year it releases bears no relevance unless under certain conditions (like releasing REALLY soon after the predecessor, wich is not the case).
