Personally, I always thought that a lot of Sony fans only liked the idea of having Nintendo games available on Sony platforms. Kind of like how a lot of Nintendo fans only like the idea of having western 3rd party games available on Nintendo platforms. Both groups in these examples want those games available on their platform of choice to help sales and for bragging rights but they're personally uninterested in buying those games.
