I'm more or less straight down the centre.
I think the amount of state ownership matters less than your attitude to social issues nowadays though. Social issues I'm heavily libertarian. I think everyone should be able to do whatever they like, unless it interferes with other people doing the same. And more importantly we should actively fight to make sure people can do that.
(some people agree that in principle you should legally be free to do almost anything but then spend all their time trying to attack people who do things they don't like)
