They completely ripped George Lucas off at $4 billion, that price was highway robbery, TFA alone will probably return somewhere close to that. That $900+ domestic take likely won't be beaten anytime soon either. Not bad for the *seventh* film in a franchise that's almost 40 years old. |
Let Disney have their movie but plenty of people thought this would beat Avatar and even make $3B. I guess the bad/weak story prevented it from having the legs required to do so.
