Two PS3s and maybe a PS2 and a PS1. The first PS3 got the YLoD, whereas the second one had a BD drive failure. I was able to fix the first one and it worked for a while, then it broke again. I managed to fix it enough to get my data safe to my new PS3. I also managed to fix the second one (changing the broken part wasn't too hard).

I also think a PS2 broke down somehow, but I'm still not sure how. I think it was retired from active use in working condition, then when it was returned to use it didn't work anymore. Or maybe it broke shortly after that? I don't remember anymore. I also think the PS1 sort of broke. I think it doesn't read discs reliably anymore.

Then there's the case where my brother tripped on the cord of the PS2 controller, and the console itself fell down and broke... But I guess that's not Sony's fault. :P

So yeah, that's a total of:

  • 1 broken PS1
  • 2 broken PS2s
  • 2 broken PS3s

So, umm, that's pretty much all the Playstation consoles I/my family have owned? Tough luck. And no, I'm not saying other consoles are better; we just haven't had any. Yeah, tough luck there too...
