It was but people speculate that they'll release Wolf to advertise Star Fox and imho it's plausible though beeing unlikely, everyone else is just for Smash 5, and people said there is no way Smash's roster can get any better, it only takes to make a new IP such as Splatoon that gets a lot of love from fans to have a reason to make another Smash game...
