The Wii had a solid hardcore userbase but the majority of it was there for the 3/4 years of motion control fad. That's gone and you see what's left with the Wii. About 15m users.
My point is that the Wii in Japan most certainly didn't sell to the minimum of its potential and the ps3 definitely did.

That is so dumb. How can you know the amount of "dedicated users" the console had? You take a number out of your ass and thats it? Sure the Ps3 and Ps4 have a 100% of dedicated users right? Of course.
Lets take an exemple, Mario Galaxy 2 was released on Wii lowest year, 2011, it managed to sold 7.5 m of copies, Uncharted 3 was released the same year, and, like Mario in wii, is one of the favourite games of Sony "dedicated userbase", it sold 6.8m. So.... I guess if Wii dedicated userbase was a 15%, Ps3 dedicated userbase must be even lower... following your broken logic of course.

Obviously the massive influx of casuals has a knock on effect.
The gamecube and Wii U prove how small the core base really is. The whole point I'm making is the Wii in Japan definitely didn't under sell its potential. It just died when the fad died down.
