I wasn't really defending HD DVD . I was just stating it wasn't forgone that it was dead. I did admit it wasn't looking good, but I guess you chose to ignore that part.

You clearly aren't stalking me, because I did admit it when HD DVD was discontinued. I even started a fan thread for blu-ray. But I guess you chose to ignore that as well.

Recovered costs. That is NOT the same thing as saying the loss was a good thing. It just means it was already taken care of.
