Nintendo's fiscal years start on April 1st and end on March 31st, and are labeled as the year in which they end, meaning that they are in fiscal year 2016 right now and 2017 starts in a little less than three months from now.

That's all that matters, how other companies handle it is irrelevant.

No, I'm definitely NOT wrong, by your logic, the fiscal year for 2016 would be starting THIS March, not last. Just sayin, this article makes no sense.

 

EDIT: Oh, I am wrong about your logic though, it isn't the year that it ends, it's the year it begins, so this article is no bueno
