| FragilE^ said: If they release this year without the biggest, coolest and must-have launch titles then I'm really, really worried for Nintendo :c Seems much safer to wait a year. Oh Iwata-sama, thou who art in heaven, please let the NX bring back the glory days.. |
I explained in another thread the Nintendo IP that could realistically release in the NX first year if it launches during the holidays this year, assuming that NX is a successor to both 3DS & Wii U.
Zelda U gets the Twilight Princess treatment and was delayed in order to make it a cross-generation release so Zelda for launch.
EAD Tokyo releases a new console Mario every 3 years with a smaller title usually a year after that. Galaxy-2007, Jungle Beat port-2008, Galaxy 2-2010, 3D Land-2011, 3D World-2013, Captain Toad-2014. So a new 3D Mario at launch with a smaller title the following year, perhaps a Captain Toad sequel.
Miyamoto stated Pikmin 4 was nearing completion but did not specify a platform, it could be Wii U but it could also possibly be NX.
EAD Group 1 releases a new Mario Kart roughly every 3 years. DS-2005, Wii-2008, 3DS-2011, Wii U-2014, a 2017 release for Mario Kart NX is feasible.
EAD Group 2 released Animal Crossing DS, Wii Sports, Wii Play in 2005-2006, they released Wii Music, Animal Crossing Wii, Wii Sports Resort in 2008-2009, they released Nintendo Land & Animal Crossing 3DS in 2012 then released Splatoon & Happy Home Designer in 2015. They have consistently released 2-3 games roughly every 2-3 years so 1 2017 title followed by 1 2018 title I think is realistic.
Hal Labs released Return to Dreamland in Nov 2011 followed by Triple Deluxe in Jan 2014 followed by Rainbow Curse in Feb 2015. They are able to pump out a new Kirby title every 1-2 years.
ND Cube released Wii Party & Mario Party 9 in late 2011-early 2012, then they released Wii Party U & Mario Party 3DS in late 2013 then they released Mario Party 10 & Amiibo Festival in 2015. They release 2 games roughly every 2 years so at least one new game in 2017.
Retro releases a new game a little over every 3 years. Metroid Prime 2-Nov 2004, Prime 3-Aug 2007, DKC Returns-Nov 2010, Tropical Freeze-Feb 2014. A new game in mid-2017 is likely.
Monster Games releases a new game roughly every 2 years. Excite Truck-Nov 2006, ExciteBots-April 2009, Pilotwings Resort-March 2011, DKC Returns 3D-May 2013, Xenoblade 3D-April 2015. I could see them releasing a Tropical Freeze port at some point in 2017.
Game Freak releases a new Pokémon generation every 3-4 years. 1996, 1999, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2013. Pokémon Gen 7 in 2017 will probably happen.
Launch window-Zelda+3D Mario+Pikmin 4
2017-Tropical Freeze port, Kirby, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, Retro's project, Captain Toad 2, Pokémon Gen 7.
