If what you mean by generally interested in PC gaming is that they have a high end graphics card, mostly game on PC and own a lot of games (let's say 100+), then yeah, a majority of the users here are generally not interested in the platform. Heck, a majority of Steam users aren't interested in the PC platform (and we're talking a massive majority here). Even a majority of PC only gamers aren't interested in the platform. If that's what you consider being generally interested in the platform then you shouldn't be surprised that there aren't a lot of them on this site, because there aren't a lot of them period.

How do you know the majority of the PC userbase isn't interested in the platform?, that sounds like a crazy statement to make than anything close to mine would be.

Was that the only thing you read from my comment?

Let me recap:

*Your original statement: "I'm also fascinated with how this site has gained a small interest in PC sales data despite the user base on here being very minute and well the majority of users not being generally interested in the platform"

*I claim this specific part of the statement "the majority of users not being generally interested in the platform" to be untrue, because a lot of people game on PC and have an interest in the platform despite being primarily console gamers.

*You then made a comment about people playing chess on PC =/= PC gamers. I agree. I don't see how this is relevant to being generally interested in the platform, but I'll let it fly. Furthermore, if your point was that the primarily console gamers that also play on PC only play stuff like browser games and Minesweeper and Chess, I, first of all

a) disagree (strongly)

and b) while those exist, i think I made it pretty clear that I was talking about people that have a Steam account (or an alternative), and own a fair few games on it (I used myself as an example, with "only" 48 games.)

*Seeing as you went on to talk as if the ones I were talking about weren't generally interested in PC gaming (as that was your original statement), and those I were talking about were people who had a Steam account, had a fair amount of games on it (let's arbitrarily say 20), but maybe played on lower-end hardware and considered themselves primarily console gamers.

*If those people (20 games, playing on lower-end hardware) can't be considered interested in PC gaming, then yes, the majority of PC gamers aren't interested in PC gaming. Seeing as that statement is preposterous, I think the issue here maybe lies with the fact that they are generally interested in PC gaming. Just not as interested as you are in PC gaming.
